  Our meal at dinner was amazing! It was the shoulder of lamb (the whole front leg!), slow cooked / very crispy and tasty. My wife's ribeye was cooked perfectly to her liking. Pimientos de Padron were also great. The price for a bottle of wine was reasonable. I can understand it must be crowded at lunchtime when many tourists are visiting Artenara. We stayed in the town for a week, and in the evening it was practically empty with fast and attentive service. 2nd best lamb I've ever had, second only to some friends who cooked a whole lamb for 8 hours on a spit at a party.

  This charming restaurant is set in a cave with stunning views of the Caldera de Tejeda. Lovely selection of Canarian dishes with a warm welcome. I will definitely return on my next visit to Gran Canaria. Come hungry and with your camera!

  Word of warning if you are staying in Artenara: most of the restaurants are only open until 5 or 7pm, so you have to eat on your way home from somewhere or cook yourself. La Cilla is open later on Fri+Sat if I remember, until 10pm or so.

  An extraordinary location with an amazing view! To enter the restaurant you have to Wald through a tunnel. The food is good and the prices are reasonable but the staff is completely stressed out and not very friendly.
